DAANBANTAYAN, Cebu officials and barangay captains formally broke away from the group of Rep. Clavel Asas-Martinez, whose family has been their political boss for years now, with a challenge to the congresswoman to account for her discretionary funds.
Daanbantayan officials want Gwendolyn, not Agriculture Undersecretary Celestino “Junie” Martinez Jr., the congresswoman’s husband, to be the Lakas standard-bearer in the province.
