He appears in the Bonus campaign in the Frozen Throne 'The Founding of Durotar'. He could not let go of his hatred for the Orcs and related creatures leading him to attack their new nation of Durotar despite the truce between the humans and the orcs. Because of this danger, Thrall had Rexxar, one of the Mok'Nathal, speak with the Trolls living on the Echo Isles, the Tauren in Mulgore, and the Stonemaul Ogres. Thrall had decided that those races must join forces with the orcs for this cause, just as in Warcraft II, when the ogres, goblins, and forest trolls joined the Horde. Thrall had told Jaina that they had no choice but to kill him because the safety of Durotar was all that mattered. Jaina replied "I understand. Do what you must". Later on, the horde stormed his citadel, and the orcs fought their way through the citadel, through waves and waves of humans, where they finally reached the admiral. Proudmoore was killed by a team that consisted of Rexxar, Rokhan, a Troll from the Darkspear Tribe, a Tauren by the name of Cairne Bloodhoof and Chen Stormstout, a Pandaren. Jaina had tried to convince him of the reformed ways of the orcs, but to no avail and eventually would conspire with the orcs to kill him, though of course she was very sad. ...
