The Daily Gleaner is a morning daily newspaper serving the city of Fredericton, New Brunswick and upper St.
The Gleaner, as it's called locally, is owned by the Irving family of Saint John.
In addition to the two daily papers, the Irving name is associated with the majority of weekly papers in the province, with very few being owned by other companies.
