Dairy Milk is a brand of chocolate bar made by Cadbury's popular in the United Kingdom and around the world. It was introduced in the 1900s.


There are a number of varieties including Fruit and Nut and Whole Nut. In 2003 Cadbury's made Dairy Milk into a so-called superbrand, bringing a number of different products under the Dairy Milk umbrella branding. For example Wispa bars were phased out and replaced by "Dairy Milk with bubbles". As of 2004, there are ten varieties of Dairy Milk produced in the UK.


Advertising

Dairy Milk has always tried to keep a strong association with milk, with slogans such as "a glass and a half of full cream milk in every half pound" and advertisements that feature a glass of milk pouring out and forming the bar.


In 2004, Cadbury's started a series of television advertisements in the United Kingdom and Ireland featuring a person and an animal representing the person's happiness debating whether to eat one of a range of bars including Diary Milk.
