History
This story is as told by the people there in 1957. One devotee (Bholanath) could not go to Dwaraka for praying there due to his old age. Then God told him that he would come himself to his place. When he was being removed by some devotees the local people objected his removal and fought with them. God told them to throw him into the water. Then local people searched for the God under water by piercing sticks. Thus the God got hurt all over his body with wounds as seen when he was removed. God told the devotees to give the local people gold equal to his weight to satisfy them. Only gold they could find was the nose ring of the above devotee which she reluctantly gave. When it was weighed against God, God made the nose ring very heavy. Thus the local people actually got only very small quantity of gold and they had to get satisfied. This idol of Lord Krishna was installed at Dakor. This shows how God always helps his devotees. Image File history File links No higher resolution available. ...
