Biography Crover joined The Melvins on drums in 1984, after the original drummer left the band. In late 1985 Crover (Bass), Kurt Cobain (Guitar/Vocals) and Greg Hokanson (Drums) formed Cobain's first rock band, Fecal Matter. After Hokanson left the band, Cobain and Crover went to the house of Cobain's aunt in Seattle, Washington and recorded a 16-song demo on a 4-track in December of 1985. Crover played Bass and Drums on the demo. Fecal Matter disbanded in 1986. The Melvins are an American rock music band and have usually played as a trio. ...

Crover helped out on drums in Cobain's band Nirvana when they recorded a ten-song demo on January 23, 1988 at the Reciprocal Recording Studios in Seattle, Washington. "Floyd The Barber", "Paper Cuts" and "Downer" from that session appear on Nirvana's debut album, Bleach. "Downer", "Aero Zeppelin", "Beeswax", "Hairspray Queen" and "Mexican Seafood" are included on Incesticide. The With the Lights Out boxset features "If You Must" and "Pen Cap Chew" on disc #1. Only "Spank Thru" remains unreleased. Nirvana also played a fourteen song live show in Tacoma, Washington with Crover on the same day. "Downer", "Floyd The Barber" and "Raunchola/Moby Dick" from that show appear on the With the Lights Out boxset. Later in 1988 year Buzz Osborne and Crover relocated to San Francisco, California.
