Dalia oil field is an deep water oil field off the coast of Cabinda, Angola. It is in Block 17. The field is nearly 135 kilometers off the coast, with sea depths varying between 200 and 1500 meters. It has 71 wells, 37 of which go towards production. Dalia oil field was discovered in September 1997. It was put into production in December 2006. Dalia is projected to contain about 1 billion barrels of crude oil (Angola has a projected 13 million barrels of recoverable petroleum)[2].
