Dalton is a district of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire in England. It is situated approximately one mile southeast of the town centre between Moldgreen and Kirkheaton. It is located in a small valley, mostly comprised of housing, with a small amount of engineering firms to the northwest, surrounded by farmland used in the production of milk. Dalton has suffered recently and is currently in a state of much deprivation. It is largely made up of council estates and has become tarred with the brush of those who used to reside there such as Germaine Lindsay, who was part of the July 7th London bombings and went to the nearby Rawthorpe High School.
