Damas is one of the secondary characters in Jak 3. Damas was once king of Haven City until Baron Praxis usurped the throne and Damas' son Mar was taken by Count Veger, a Precursor scientist. Many years later, Damas encountered his son again, but he did not know of this and treated him as a normal life-debtor. He also took his son's friend as his advisor.


When called to help Jak get to the Precursor core, Damas was crushed under his buggy. Through a series of revelations, Jak discovered that the fallen king was his father.


Many people on the net theorize that Damas and Baron Praxis are brothers. This has not been proven, though it does have space in the Jak and Daxter storyline. In one scene in Jak 3, Ashelin askes Jak to come back from the wasteland and save Haven. The convisation steers towards the topic of Damas. Jak asks, "How do you know him?" Ashelin hesitates, then replies, "It doesn't matter now."
