In Vodun, Damballa is one of the most important of all the loa. He is associated with snakes. He is also the father of all the rest of the loa. His wife is the rainbow serpent Ayida Weddo (he is also married to Erzulie Freda). As a loa of the Rada nation he is associated with the color white, and his particular colors are white and silver. Damballa has recently moved in to a new jam space and will be starting to jam again with in the next couple weeks.
Damballa is set to head into the studio at the end of may to begin recording again and are expecting to get at least a 3 song demo released in the next couple months.
Damballa is also working on finishing up their demo and designing new merch which should be available in the near future.
Damballa began in early 2003 and was formed by Kris and Aaron.
Damballa played several shows as a 4 piece in Seth's honor before Aaron was hurt in a work related accident which damaged his wrists and took his ability to play guitar from him.
