The inaugural festival took place on October 16 2005 at Jilly's Rockworld in Manchester, England, and was a success, selling out completely and later on in the year earning fourth place in Terrorizer [1] Magazine's 2005 Reader Poll - Biggest Musical Event (behind only Download Festival, Wacken Open Air and Bloodstock '05 and ahead of Furyfest, Graspop, Ozzfest, Carling Weekend and Emperor reforming).
