Danú is an Irish folk group.

Danú were formed in Waterford in Southeastern Ireland in 1996. Their first album, "Think Before You Think" (2000) was voted Best Overall Traditional Act by Dublin's "Irish Music" magazine. Their albums are mostly traditional instrumentals. One of their albums, "Up in the Air" is all-instrumental. Tom Doorley (b 1972) is the spokesman and flute-player. He is a noted story-teller and works as a teacher. Donnchadh Gough was born in 1975. At the age of seven he was given a bodhran by Liam Clancy. Seamus Ennis (1912 - 1982) was a family friend and used to tell Donnachadh betime stories. His first cousin Aoife Clancy is a member of Cherish The Ladies. He plays both bodhran and uillean pipes. Oisin (fiddle) was previously a member of Stockton's Wing. Most fiddles have four strings, but he has an unusual five-stringed instrument. Ciaran O Gealbhain is the main singer, in Gaelic & English. Muireann (b 1978) speaks Irish as her first language. She sings and plays fiddle and piano. Éamonn Doorley (b 1976) (bouzouki, fiddle) is the younger brother of Tom Doorley. Benny McCarty (b 1975) (accordion) received lessons from Máirtin O'Connor and others. He won the Oireachtas Competition in 1994 on melodeon and accordeon. He repairs and tunes his own accordions.

Dan (WebBible Encyclopedia) - ChristianAnswers.Net (481 words)
The blessing pronounced on him by his father was, "Dan shall judge his people" (49:16), probably in allusion to the judgeship of Samson, who was of the tribe of Dan.
The territory of Dan extended from the west of that of Ephraim and Benjamin to the sea.
This new city of Dan became to them a new home, and was wont to be spoken of as the northern limit of Palestine, the length of which came to be denoted by the expression "from Dan to Beersheba", i.e., about 144 miles.
