Dan Vapid (also known as Danny Vapid), was born Daniel Schafer, and grew up in the Chicago area of the United States. As an adult he has played guitar and bass guitar for a number of punk rock bands including Screeching Weasel, The Riverdales, The Queers, Even in Blackouts, The Mopes and Sludgeworth. He is currently the frontman of The Methadones.
