Dana Bash is a CNN reporter and anchorwoman. She currently covers the Capitol Hill beat alongside Andrea Koppel. Previous to this assignment, Bash was a White House correspondent for the network. After completing her undergraduate degree at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., she joined CNN. Before becoming an on-air personality, Dana was a producer for CNN on Capitol Hill, specializing in coverage of the U.S. Senate. Previous to that assignment, Bash produced for CNN's weekend programs, Late Edition, Evans & Novak and Inside Politics. Perhaps because of her years of behind the scenes work, Bash's specialty is political journalism. Dana's father, Stu Schwartz, is a long time ABC News producer currently assigned to Good Morning America. Dana's brother, David Schwartz, produces fake news and collocates socks. Dana is married to Jeremy Bash who is currently Counsel to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and served as an advisor to the Gore/Lieberman Campaign.
