About the Area

Dandenong North is situated approximately 30 kilometres from the city, being very close to the Monash Freeway - which is Melbourne's South Eastern Arterial. It is a quiet area, predominantly occupied by the older demographic. There are several schools in the locality. Lyndale Secondary College is located at the corner of Gladstone and Halton Rds. It is one of the more eminent schools in the area. North Dandenong is also subject to the latest Scoresby Freeway project (which connects the South-East with the Eastern Arterials).


The whole of Greater Dandenong has a population of approximately 130,000*. Dandenong North has approximately 17% of this amount.
