Dandenong North is situated approximately 30 kilometres from the city, being very close to the Monash Freeway - which is Melbourne's South Eastern Arterial. It is a quiet area, predominantly occupied by the older demographic. There are several schools in the locality. Lyndale Secondary College is located at the corner of Gladstone and Halton Rds.
