Born in Jamaica, Livingstone moved to the United Kingdom at the age of 15 and it was here he would find some of his widest recognition. Recording his first single in 1963, he went on to put out some of the defining numbers of UK reggae over the following decade. In the late 1960s, Livingstone worked with trombonist Rico Rodriguez, who appears on 1967's "Rudy, A Message to You". Livingstone's biggest hit came in 1972 with "Suzanne Beware of the Devil", reaching number 14 on the UK chart.[1] Rico in 2002 Emmanuel Rodriguez (Rico, Reco, El Reco) (born October 17, 1934 in Kingston, Jamaica) was the (nearly) undisputed best trombonist of early Jamaican music. ...
