Blackburn v. State - Alaska (423 words)
Daniel Blackburn worked for the State of Alaska at the Cold Bay airport from January 21 to March 3, 2000.
Blackburn was initially allowed to use a state vehicle for personal errands, but in early February he was instructed not to do so after his supervisor, Gerry Dias, saw the vehicle parked outside a local bar on multiple occasions.
The state's letter explained that the reason for Blackburn's termination was inadequate performance, citing Blackburn's failure to follow instructions and his failure to operate equipment in an appropriate manner.
