The Daniel Carter Beard Bridge (39° 06′ 04″ N, 84° 29′ 44″ W), locally nicknamed the Big Mac Bridge due to its yellow arches, carries Interstate 471 between Cincinnati, Ohio and Northern Kentucky. It is named in honor of Daniel Carter Beard, a founder of the Sons of Daniel Boone, a predecessor organization of the Boy Scouts of America. He founded the Sons of Daniel Boone, a boy's organization that was a precurser of the Boy Scouts in 1906.
The Daniel Carter Beard Bridge, which carries I-471 across the Ohio River, was named for him.
