Daniel Geale has admirers in influential places in Australian boxing, not the least of whom is three-time world champion Jeff Fenech.
After Geale’s win in the Sydney International Invitation tournament in May, Fenech said he believed the Tasmanian had the potential to forge a successful career for himself.
It was a great result for Geale, who also won gold in the Sydney Olympic test event last December, defeating the French welterweight champion in the final.
