Danielle Spencer (born June 24, 1965) was an American child actress best remembered for her role as the sarcastic teenager Dee Thomas on "What's Happening!!" She played the role for 3 years (1976-1979) and then played it again for the sequel "What's Happening Now!" in 1985.


Danielle became a veterinarian in 1996. In 1997, she played a veterinarian in the feature film "As Good As it Gets." Her last film role to date was in the short feature "Peter Rabbit and the Crucifix" (2001).


Danielle is the stepdaughter of actor Tim Pelt who was killed in a car accident in 1977. She has been married since 1999.
