Danny Farrant (born in Weston-super-Mare, England) is the current drummer in the legendary British punk band Buzzcocks. He joined the group following Phil Barker's departure in 2006. As a schoolboy, Farrant was a member of a short-lived New Wave group called Safreak - a name that was culled from a half-erased piece of graffiti. A talented musician, Farrant also plays guitar, bass, keyboards and other instruments. After leaving Safreak, a subsequent band appeared in a "Battle of the bands" style competition on BBC TV's Going Live, although the band did not win the competition.
