Danny Gare (Born May 14, 1954 in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada) was a noted ice hockey player in the NHL. He was the captain of the Detroit Red Wings before Steve Yzerman. He also played for the Buffalo Sabres and Edmonton Oilers. After his playing career was over he was briefly an assistant coach for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
