Dante Ferretti is an Italian art director and costume designer for films. He won his first, and so far only Academy Award for 2004's The Aviator for Art Direction. This was despite the fact that he had been nominated seven times previously. His nominations for Art Direction were in The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Hamlet (1990), The Age of Innocence, Interview with a Vampire, Kundun, and Gangs of New York. He was nominated for Best Costume Design for Kundun. Con Fellini Ferretti lavora per "Prova d'orchestra" (1979), "La città delle donne" (1980), "E la nave va" (1983), "Ginger e Fred" (1986) e "La voce della luna" (1990).
