Danys Báez [BAH-ez] (born September 10, 1977 in Pinar del Río, Cuba) is a closer in Major League Baseball who has played with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays since 2004. Previously, Báez played for the Cleveland Indians (2001-2003). He bats and throws right-handed. Báez defected from the Cuban national team at the 1999 Pan American Games in Canada.
