In January 2006, Alexander and Fox News colleague, Rick Folbaum debuted on the station's 6 o' clock news after getting reassigned. The pair replaced Ernie Anastos and Lyn Brown on the six o'clock newscast. Brown continued to anchor the midday edition of Fox 5 News until her retirement on June 30, 2007.
