Among the red rocks of the Blasted Lands, a giant crater rises above the scorched landscape. Here the Dark Portal, segue to another dimension, stands guarded by demon forces who wish it to remain intact for their master's use. Because it is a bridge between two worlds, the Dark Portal is located in both on the continent of Azeroth and on the Hellfire Peninsula in Draenor. Although unusable in the first edition of World of Warcraft, the land of Draenor is going to be accessible through the Dark Portal in the new expansion, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade some time around fall of 2006. History
The Dark Portal was first opened by the wizard Medivh to bring the orcish horde into the world. Manipulating the warlock Gul'dan, Medivh and Gul'dan opened a rift in the dimensions and created a swirling vortex that transports any who enter to either Draenor or Azeroth. The original Orcish Horde, then under the bloodlust given to them by the demonic Burning Legion, used this portal with devastating effectiveness to invade Azeroth. The Dark Portal's first incarnation was destroyed by the wizard Khadgar at the end of the Second War but the Shaman Ner'Zhul succeeded in reopening the Portal shortly after. A band of Alliance forces led by Khadgar managed to seal the Portal from the Draenor side several months later. Today, the Dark Portal stands silently in the Blasted Lands. It is rumored that there is a incantation within one of Medivh's spellbooks that will open the Dark Portal once more.

If this number is greater than the HP of the portal you wish to purify, purifying that portal will cause it to disappear and send an attack down the length of the stream going out of it.
Take care to note this, the colour of the portal does not matter, all that matters is the colour of the last panel of dark stream before it intersects with itself.
Enemy damage from dark energy streams and miracles alike, is directly proportional to your purification power, thus if you're having problems with enemies always being killed before you're miracles complete, train a small bit up to ten happiness, and have him set off your miracle.
