In professional wrestling, a dark match is a match that is part of a televised card, but is not itself televised. The Brooklyn Brawler is one frequent combatant in dark matches. Most dark matches are held at the beginning of wrestling cards; usually, one or two dark matches are used to "warm up" the live crowd for the upcoming televised event. A dark match may also be held at the end of a card, after TV cameras have gone black.
