Darren Robinson was born on June 10, 1967. His biggest claim to fame was as Buffy the Human Beat Box, a member of the 80's rap group, The Fat Boys. He, along with Doug E. Fresh and others, were pioneers of beatboxing, a form of vocal percussion used in many rap groups throughout the 80's and 90's. Although perfect for the group's image, Darren's weight eventually contributed to his death. He died of a heart attack, weighing 450 pounds at the time. He was only 28 years old.
