Darren Flutie was born on November 18, 1966 in Manchester, Maryland. He was a Canadian football wide receiver for the British Columbia Lions, Edmonton Eskimos, and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He is currently the Canadian Football League's all-time leader in catches. His Canadian career lasted from 1991 until 2002. He is the younger brother of quarterback Doug Flutie. He now works as an analyst on CFL broadcasts on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

The art of Darren Flutie was a subtle one.
Flutie's retirement announcement last week was overshadowed by a whole host of other, apparently more important sports news.
At one point, he hoped his swan song might be in the company of older brother Doug, the quarterback, whose future in the National Football League was in doubt and who was entertaining the possibility of joining one of two or three different CFL teams for a final season with his brother.
