Darrous is a neighborhood in Shemiran, northern Tehran, Iran. It is considered one of the more affluent areas in the city. Darrous is bounded by Pasdaran neighbothood, Gholhak, and Farmanieh. Haj Mokhber ol Saltaneh Hedayat, a renowned aristocrat of the late Qajar period, was the main property owner in this area prior to 1960s. He served several terms as prime minster during the reign of Reza Shah Pahlavi. His legacy still survies in the area in the from of a mosque, a medical clinic, a school, all named Hedayat and located on Hedayat street.
