LONDON (August 17, 2000) -- Daryl Hannah is to recreate one of Marilyn Monroe's most famous film roles on the London stage -- and she may follow fellow the lead of fellow Hollywood star Nicole Kidman and appear naked.
Hannah, who was famed as the mermaid in the box office hit ``Splash,'' is to take the lead in a stage version of ``The Seven Year Itch'' in which Monroe's white dress famously billowed up as she stood on a subway grate.
``She won't be doing a Marilyn impersonation,'' said producer Laurence Myers who revealed, however, that Hannah could appear naked in a seduction scene.
Daryl Christine Hannah was born on December 3rd, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, USA, to Don Hannah and Susan Wexler.
Not all of her subsequent film assignments nor her performances have been as successful, though she was highly praised for her interpretation of a nerdish hairdresser in Steel Magnolias and was treated kindly by the press and public for her characterization of the title character in the made-for-TV Attack of the 50 Foot Woman (1992).
Hannah's often turbulent private life achieved an even keel with her long-term relationship with lawyer/ publisher John F. Kennedy Jr.
