The Dartford Loop Line is one of three lines linking London with Dartford in Kent, England. It lies to the south of the other two: the North Kent Line and the Bexleyheath Line. It was opened by the South Eastern Railway on 1 September 1866: because there are no major engineering works on the route it took a mere four years to build. It was electrified with the other two routes on 6 June 1926. Dartford station is a railway station at Dartford in North-West Kent, on the North Kent line. ... The London Loop is a route that runs around the edge of the capital.
Past the pier the Loop heads away from the river again, passing a supermarket on the edge of Erith town centre and then running east through an industrial estate to reach the edge of the built-up area.
The Loop reaches the corner of the housing estate after crossing the landfill area.
