The Dashu are underground dwellers of vast technological cities built upon the water.
Usually for a Dashu to become an adventurer, what they do must even be so common that everyone is doing it and therefore there is no opening, or it is so unneeded at current that they cannot survive in their community doing it.
The ancient Dashu did not start out as scientists, instead they had resources (the ability to generate water) and decided to search for a way to use this to make their lives easier, and this in turn led into the study of how to build devices.
