Sri Vivekananda Maharogi Aarogya Kendram, Near Rajamundry is an organization dedicated to caring for the needs of Leprosy patients. Colonel D.S. Raju gave 11 acres in 1975 to Doctor Mallikarjuna Rao Mandavalli to set up a leprosy centre. It was handed over to the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) in 1982. The Colonel also founded the Rangaraya Memorial Medical College in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh with the financial help of the Zamindar of Dommeru, P. Ranga Rao.
