He has published mystery novels such as My Real Name Is Lisa and science-fiction and fantasy novels such as Fane and The Chocolate Spy. His latest novel (under the pen name David Grace) is a mystery/thriller, The Eyes Of The Blind. DaveAlexander was named men's swimming coach in 1995 and is the only women's swimming coach Stony Brook has had in the 26-year history of the program.
Alexander led the men's squad to a third place finish in the America East Championships for the fourth consecutive year, and finished with a final record of 6-4.
Alexander enjoyed his most outstanding seasons with the men's program from 1998-99, guiding the Seawolves to an 11-6 mark in 1999, fresh off the program's first MET Conference Championship crown in 1998.
