Dave Chapman (b.1973.Kent, England) British Actor, Puppeteer,and voice-over.


TV & Film


Chapman plays bad ventriloquist Peter Nokio in The Slammer for the BBC, and played the villain 'Alan Draylon' in CBBC's Harry Batt. Chapman played hundreds of characters on BAFTA and RTS award winnning Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow (BBC). The other three actors from Dick and Dom are Ian Kirkby Melvin Odoom and Lee Barnett. Dick and Dom (Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood) first worked with Dave Chapman when he was the writer/puppeteer/voice for Otis The Aardvark for CBBC (1994-1999). He appeared as himself on three episodes of Rob Brydon's Annually Retentive He wrote and co-directed the short film Dinner Money in 2001


Trained at The London Academy Of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and The Jim Henson Company, his puppeteering work has featured in The Muppet Treasure Island, 101 Dalmations,(Walt Disney Company, 1996) Heroes of Comedy:Max Miller, Shooting Stars, Time Trumpet, Captain Abercromby, The Tiny and Mr Duk Show, What's Up Doc?, Children In Need, The Saturday Show, Sport Relief, French and Saunders, and Doctor Who.


Radio and Comedy


Chapman has guested on The Chris Evans Show, The Chris Moyles Show, The Bob Mills Show and Woman's Hour. He also writes and performs live comedy in the double act 'Chapman and Crompton'
