David "Dave" Tippett (Born: August 25, 1961 in Moosomin, Saskatchewan, Canada) is a former left-winger and current head coach in the National Hockey League. Tippett is the 19th head coach of the Dallas Stars, since accepting the job on May 21, 2002. As head coach for the Dallas Stars, Tippet has a career record of 87-48-27.
