The Daventry district is a large local government district of western Northamptonshire, England. Named after the town of Daventry which is the administrative headquarters and largest town, other significant settlements in the district include Brixworth, Long Buckby and Weedon Bec. Most of the district is rural and sparsely populated.


The district was formed in 1974, by a merger of the Daventry urban district and the Daventry and Brixworth rural districts
