Cox was considered one of the prominent figures of British watercolour painting and at the time was rivalled only by John Constable in his portrayal of nature's moods.
Cox was born in Deritend Birmingham, the son of a flsmith.
Cox was selected the Outstanding McKinney Citizen of 2000 by the McKinney Chamber of Commerce, an honor that recognizes all outstanding works for the community; charitable, educational, spiritual, and of course, visionary leadership.
David followed his brother to school at UT and in 1985 moved back to McKinney where he built several communications businesses over the course of the next twelve years.
David, also the father of two, has served on the board for the American Red Cross, is an active volunteer for the Mickey Mantle World Series and is a graduate of Citizenship McKinney, a community leadership program sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.
