David Davidar made the company, Penguin, a force to reckon with in the publishing industry in India. Penguin India was set up in 1985 and in 1987, it published seven titles. Today, it publishes around two hundred titles a year. David Davidar has gone to Penguin Canada while Thomas Abraham has replaced him as the head of Penguin India.
