| GL is Kreizman's first head writing assigment, having started with the show as an intern 17 years ago and moved his way up to a writer, then associte headwriter, until finally assuming the spot from the much despised Ellen Weston. |
| As his tenure began, Kreizman resurrected bonds of friendship and family that had been neglected or glossed over by the Conboy-Weston regime, gave overt and subtle nods to many elements of the show's history, and even started to utilize many of the shows recurring or back burnered cast in prominent roles in his stories. |
