The David Livingstone Centre is a museum dedicated to the work of the explorer and missionary David Livingstone. It is built in the former mill buildings which once housed 24 families, has been transformed into an exciting and lively award winning museum. It depicts Livingstones life from his early childhood working in the cotton mills of Blantyre to his African adventures. These are dramatically illustrated with the aid of various pieces of his navigational and medical equipment, interspersed with African artifacts.
