In GP2, the team first came under the organisation name, "David Price Racing", for the first season of GP2, before switching to a name reflecting their sponsors, Direxiv for the second, being officially known as "DPR Direxiv", though this was often either shortened to "DPR", or reverted to "David Price Racing". For the third, it has formed a partnership with fellow British racing team, Carlin Motorsport, to form the name "Carlin DPR".
