David ("Dave") Lee Wharton (born May 19, 1969 in Warminster, Pennsylvania) is a former butterfly and medleyswimmer from the United States, who won the silver medal in the 400m Individual Medley at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Wharton set two world records during his career, was named the Pac-10 Male Swimmer of the Year four consecutive years (1988-91), and was a also a member of the 1992 Summer Olympics team.
