Davitt is a promising striker with an abundance of energy and pace. He began his career with Fanad United before joining Derry City. After a season as part of Derry's Under 21 squad, Davitt and joined local rivals Finn Harps in February 2006 where he became a regular member of Harps' First Division squad.
