During his lunch break, he left his group, which was supervised only by an unarmed transportation crew worker, and made his way to a nearby business, Dale City Floors in the Ashdale Shopping Center, and stabbed Gladys Nopwasky, the proprietor, 16 times in the neck and chest with a screwdriver.
