Haddon was born and raised in Montréal, Québec, Canada - and therefore speaks both English and French. As a child, she was enrolled in dancing classes to develop her physique, and she performed well enough to become a member of Les Grandes Ballets Canadiennes at 13. Her good looks and physique provided an easy entree to modelling, and she quickly became a 1970's and 80's super model whose face represented Max Factor, Revlon, Estee Lauder, L'Oreal and appeared on a cover of Sports Illustrated.
