Dayton Lakes is located at 30°8'44" North, 94°49'18" West (30.145428, -94.821686)1.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.5 km˛ (1.0 mi˛). 2.2 km˛ (0.8 mi˛) of it is land and 0.3 km˛ (0.1 mi˛) of it is water. The total area is 12.50% water.
Demographics As of the census2 of 2000, there are 101 people, 43 households, and 26 families residing in the city. The population density is 46.4/km˛ (120.4/mi˛). There are 78 housing units at an average density of 35.9/km˛ (93.0/mi˛). The racial makeup of the city is 99.01% White and 0.99% African American.
There are 43 households out of which 30.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 44.2% are married couples living together, 2.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 39.5% are non-families. 34.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 4.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.35 and the average family size is 2.96.
