A-56 was recorded on June 7, 1900, and remade on November 6.
He says also that early Victor records included the matrix number, but on later issues (after 1906) the matrix number on Victor pressings was replaced by the "take" number, usually a small Arabic numeral stamped on the disc to the left of the label, although sometimes it was an alphanumeric pair.
This recording was attributed to "Francisco," one of several noms du disque used by Emilio de Gogorza, This is a Victor recording, repressed by GandT engineers.

A CD of their past recordings has finally been issued (called B-Bomb Baby), but it has also been hard to find (not as hard as The Four Buddies CD, but not easy).
This record did not do nearly as well as the first, probably because everyone was expecting another shattering jump tune to outdo the first one.
This record does not sell as well as the previous release, but the Jewels are a big hit in San Diego at the 400 Club and in their home base of Los Angeles.
