Deacon is married to Kelly Palmer (Merrin Dungey). They have two children, Kirby (Marshaun Daniel) and Major. As seen in an episode, Kelly doesn't get along well with Deacon's mother. In the third season, Deacon was caught by Doug having dinner with an old friend, Angie, under suspicious circumstances. Deacon admitted to Doug that he had been seeing Angie on the side without telling Kelly.
